NMB students advance in Chief Idol Competition

The North Myrtle Beach High School Chief Idol Competition’s first round was a success. With over 40 competitiors, the pool was narrowed down by popular vote and middle school and high school students advanced to the final round to be held on Friday at North Myrtle Beach High School.

High school finalists will include Aaliyah Paulino, Bella Griste, Blair Farrell, Darius Banks, Haley Mancuso, Jacy Rollin, Jonathan Ward, Kendel Topper, Michael Burgos and Shaq Buck.

Middle school finalists will include Chase Lambert, Christian Jones, DaBiez Kelly, Haley Bell, Hannah Bienkoski, Hannah Holland, Lillian Hooks, Maggie McLeod, Margaret Wildman, Maxwell Fraser, Olivia Aguilar, Raven Richman, Rhiannon Louth, Sierra Bauguess, Taylor Thompson and Viv Diaz.

The second round of Chief Idol will be at 6 o’clock on Friday. Tickets will be $5 at the door. The students will perform for a panel of judges for trophies and cash prizes.

All proceeds raised will go to fund the North Myrtle Beach High School Spring Musical, “Shrek.” All are invited to attend Chief Idol Competition on Friday.
