NMB Basketball Takes Two From Darlington

After the girls lost 57-47 and the boys were beaten 62-48 last Friday at Wilson, the Lady Chiefs and Chiefs teams came roaring back to take two games from Darlington High School at the Chiefs gym on Tuesday evening. In the girls 44-17 win the Lady Chiefs got off to a slow start as Darlington scored the first six points in the game with neither team hitting their shots. Lady Chiefs win, but Chiefs lose Tuesday night By John Smithson North Myrtle Beach splits with Marlboro County Tuesday as the girls win and boys lose at the North Myrtle Beach High School gym. The Lady Chiefs started slowly in the first half, leading 6-2 after three minutes. Foundation Raises Over $80,000 For Cancer Patients

The first place team winners included Chris Greenwell, Dr. Belal Khokhar, Brandon Higdon and Thys Runia in the golf tournament played at Barefoot Resort and Golf in North Myrtle Beach to benefit cancer patients at McLeod Seacoast in Little River. The McLeod Health Foundation benefiting McLeod Loris Seacoast raised over $80,000 at the McLeod Seacoast Cancer Benefit Golf Classic presented by Sandhills Bank. This two-day golf event was held on Friday, Nov. 9, and Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Dye Club at Barefoot Resort & Golf in North Myrtle Beach. The Trojans got off to a great start building a 24-14 lead going into halftime. The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs varsity football program advanced to the 2nd round of the South Carolina state playoffs this past Friday night with a 34-22 win over the Wilson Tigers. The Chiefs (8-3) faced Region 6 foe Wilson inside the Hank Hester Sports Complex on the campus of North Myrtle Beach High School in a game that flipped the script of the October 6 game in Florence, S.C. Chiefs Advance in State Playoffs with Foggy Win over South Aiken

Playing through a heavy fog at South Aiken High School, the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs defeated the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (5-6) in the first round of the class 4A state football playoffs this past Friday night. The Chiefs (7-3) dominated throughout and moved to 7-3 on the season with the 52-21 win over the No. 3 seed out of region 5.
