Chiefs Advance in State Playoffs with Foggy Win over South Aiken

Playing through a heavy fog at South Aiken High School, the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs defeated the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (5-6) in the first round of the class 4A state football playoffs this past Friday night. The Chiefs (7-3) dominated throughout and moved to 7-3 on the season with the 52-21 win over the No. 3 seed out of region 5. Chiefs Grab 3 Seed with Stormy Win over Marlboro County

In the pouring rain, the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs (6-3) varsity football team defeated the Marlboro County Bulldogs (6-3) to earn the No. 3 playoff seed out of Region 6-4A. With a final score of 12-0, the Chiefs shutout an opponent for the first time this season. The Thursday night contest was moved up from Friday night due to the anticipation of inclement weather Friday evening.
