NMB Naval Junior ROTC Unit wins big at meet

The Naval Junior ROTC at North Myrtle Beach High School was successful at the Carolina Forest Drill meet on Saturday, March 9.

The drill team placed 2nd overall against many schools in the county including a school which competes on the national level.

Trophies received included 1st place in Freshman Colorguard, 2nd place in Freshman Squad and Armed Squad and 3rd place in Unarmed Squad, Exhibition Squad, Armed Platoon and Unarmed Platoon.

The drill team is commanded by Cadet Riley Russell who received one of the medals during the knockout competition. The unit is proud of their accomplishment and looks forward to competing in the county drill meet this spring.
