Winners chosen for St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The 31st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade was hailed as the biggest and best ever according to reports by those in the know.

Lending to the success of the event was the beautiful weather that prevailed throughout the day.

Taking part in the almost two hour parade were floats, cars, golf carts, bands, dignitaries, leprechauns, animals, children and much more.

The winners for the Saturday, March 16, St. Patrick’s Day Parade are:

The Freedom Boat Club received the second place award for Business Category.

Business Category –
First – Thomas Real Estate
Second – Freedom Boat Club
Third – RE/MAX

In the Nonprofit Category, the Omar Jazz Morticians took first place.

Second – Sudan Pirates
Third – North Myrtle Beach Pickleball Club

The band students from Abbeville received first place for bands
in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Second – North Myrtle Beach High School

There were many different sounds of music traveling down Main Street during the parade. Also the aroma of the different foods got your attention as you browsed through the almost 200 vendors participating in the festival.

It was a perfect day for a great parade in North Myrtle Beach.
