Raymond A. Boseman of North Myrtle Beach passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2019.
He graduated from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and retired from Exide Electronics in Raleigh, N.C., in 1989. The family moved to their home on Sept. 22, 1989, the day of Hurricane Hugo. He enjoyed golfing in the area for almost thirty years.
Ray served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and was stationed in Alaska during a greater part of this time. He was recently awarded the Cloak of Valor for his service in the Air Force. He was a Mason affiliated with Lodge 392 of North Myrtle Beach.
Mr. Boseman was predeceased by his parents, Calvin Russell Sr. and Pattie B. Boseman, and brother, Calvin R. Boseman Jr. of Pensacola, Fla.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, after 63 years of marriage, and his beloved son, Perry Raymond Boseman (Marcia) of Raleigh, and grandson, Alex Perry Boseman of Greenville, N.C.
Memorial services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 1300 Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach on Saturday, April 6, at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. John Brearley.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 70127, Myrtle Beach, S.C. 29572.
Interment will be in the Chapel of Remembrance at Southern Palms in North Myrtle Beach after the service.
