Gavin Chase Powell

Gavin Chase Powell, 28, of Longs, SC went home to rest in the arms of his Heavenly Father on April 6^th, 2019.

Gavin, the son of Cathy L. Snead and Ben Powell, III, was born on August 2, 1990.

While on this earth, he brought an indescribable joy to everyone who knew him, through his gentleness, his loving and forgiving nature, and especially through his immense musical talents. While Gavin had his own struggles, he managed to bring comfort to everyone in need, regardless of the pain he himself was feeling. His family and friends, though grieving his enormous loss, all know he deserves to be in the presence of his Lord and Savior, and while we will never fill the void of losing this beautiful soul, we find comfort in the fact that he is finally at peace.

Gavin is survived by his parents, Cathy L. Snead and Benjamin P. Powell, III (Shannon); brothers, Brady Powell and Addison Powell; paternal grandparents, Benjamin P. Powell, Jr. (Susan) and Nancy English; great grandmother, Mema Powell, aunts, Christy S. Ransom (Rob), Amber Powell Reynolds, MacKenzie Livingston and Christy Cromer (Wesley), Mary Lou McPherson; cousins, Kenzie Ransom, Jake Ransom, Britt Vazquez, Aliyah Reynolds, Nicolette Cromer, John Wesley Cromer Jr., Sailor Lester and Sawyer Lester. Gavin was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Randy Snead and Claudia Snead; Mema Eva English, Papa Worth English, Papa Benjamin Powell; and step-grandmother, Cheryl Livingston.
