Donald ‘Pad’ Faircloth Sr.

Donald “Pad” Faircloth Sr., 75, of Longs passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. He was born on Feb. 29, 1944, in Loris to the late Hart Faircloth and the late Helen Fowler Faircloth. Mr. Faircloth was a longtime member of Waccamaw Baptist Church.

Mr. Faircloth enjoyed farming, fishing and was an active member with East Coast Pullers, where he was known as “Hot Rod” and made a great friend, “Homer”.

Survivors include his son, Donald Faircloth Jr. and his wife, Connie of Longs; an honorary son, Donnie Wilson of Longs; three grand-daughters, Hailey Jones of Longs, Lauren Faircloth of North Myrtle Beach and Danielle Faircloth of Longs; and one great-grandson, TaLan of North Myrtle Beach.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Judy Laye Morton Faircloth; two brothers, Brice Faircloth and A.E. Faircloth; and three sisters, Alma Lee Hardee, Lottie Mae Faircloth Causey and Myrtle Lee Bessant.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mack Hutson and the Rev. Danny Whitner officiating. Committal services followed at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens in Little River. Memorials may be made to Waccamaw Boys & Girls Home, P.O. Box 127, Lake Waccamaw, N.C. 28450.
