Louvenia ‘Lou’ Fowler

Louvenia “Lou” Fowler, 93, of Loris, widow of the late Rochelle Fowler, went home to be with our Lord Jesus on Saturday, April 20, 2019.

Born on Sept. 6, 1925, in the Allsbrook area of South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Roberts Tyler. Mrs. Fowler loved going to church, where she taught Sunday school for years. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Fowler was a very kind and loving person. She loved to cook and eat and she loved her flower garden.

Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Fowler was predeceased by her grandson, Tracy Spivey.

Surviving Lou are her children, Winston Fowler (Katie) of Bennetsville, Lib Baker (Danny), Roger Fowler and Rita Boyd, all of Loris; two sisters, Gracie Tyler and Zelda Cline, both of Loris; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 22, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel, with the Rev. Mack Hutson and the Rev. Darren Squires officiating. Burial followed at Cane Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family received friends on Sunday evening from 5  to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
