In the meantime, the citizens of North Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach Historic Preservation Society (NMBHPS) and Preserve Ingram Dunes continue to raise awareness and funding to save Ingram Dunes. The NMBHPS is hosting “A Night Under the Stars” – A Benefit to Save Ingram Dunes at the North Myrtle Beach Area Historical Museum this Saturday, April 27 at 799 Second Avenue North from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Tickets are available at the museum or online at NMBHPS.org. “If there was ever a time to show up and get involved – it’s now! Please come out and show your support for the purchase and preservation of this historic, irreplaceable piece of North Myrtle Beach.”
Local groups continue to raise money for the purchase and preservation of the historic Ingram Dunes in North Myrtle Beach. The North Myrtle Beach Historic Preservation Society (NMBHPS) is hosting a Month of Giving: all donations to the NMBHPS through the end of April will go towards saving Ingram Dunes. The group has a Facebook fundraiser that has reached $2,050 in just a matter of weeks.
A short video produced by two local residents brought in $615 in just five days. So far over 70 people from across South Carolina and the United States have donated online. If you would like to contribute, go to www.facebook.com/nmbhistoricpreservation and click “Donate” on one of their posts. All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated.
