U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Nicola M. Mari graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Mari is the son of Laura Mari of Myrtle Beach and Chris Howard of Douglasville, Georgia. He is the brother of Michael Mari of Dallas, Texas, and nephew of Casey Stiltner of Loris and Patrick Tafoya of Winter Park, Florida.
The airman is a 2012 graduate of Horry County School. Early College/Loris High School, Loris. He earned a bachelor’s degree in 2015 from Coastal Carolina University in Conway.
