The League of Women Voters of Horry County in partnership with the Loris Women’s Council will host a Candidates Forum for the special election for Loris Mayor at McCloud Health and Wellness Center, 3207 Casey St. The event will be held on May 20th at 6:00 pm. All are invited to attend this free Forum.
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization whose mission is encouraging voter participation. The League is active in voter registration and providing voter information opportunities, including candidate forums.
The League is 99 years old and has many chapters in the US and approximately 15 in South Carolina, including Horry and Georgetown Counties. Both men and women with an interest in voting and public policy are welcome to consider becoming members. The LWVHC meets monthly in the Conway Area.
