Homer H. “Buddy” Harrelson Jr., 79, of Highway 9 Business West in Loris died on Friday, June 7, 2019, at his residence following an illness.
Mr. Harrelson was born in Loris, a son of the late Homer Hamilton Harrelson Sr. and Maude Justine Williams Harrelson. He was the owner and operator of Buddy’s Kwik Stop in Loris. Mr. Harrelson was a member of Loris First Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy Harrelson of Loris; two sons, Michael Harrelson (Devora) and Brent Harrelson, all of Loris; and one grandchild, Deava Chestnut (Isaac) of Conway.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, at Loris First Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Venable Jr. and Mike Blanton officiating. Burial followed in Harrelson Cemetery.
The family received friends at the church from 2 until 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 9.
