During the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Chairman’s Luncheon held recently at The Surf Club in North Myrtle Beach, the Chamber announced the 2019-2020 officers and Board of Directors.
The incoming Board Chair is Mendel Bell of TouchMed Spa and Southern Tide Media. Mendel has been a leader in the Chamber of Commerce and CVB for several years having recently served as the chair for Build North Myrtle Beach and as chair of the recent search committee to recruit a new Chamber/CVB CEO. During the luncheon, Bell said, “I am honored to serve as the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce board. We have a vibrant, growing community in North Myrtle Beach. It’s exciting to serve in this capacity as we help guide the responsible growth of our city, the business community and the surrounding area.”
The vice chair of the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce will be Callie Wise, State Farm Insurance; the treasurer will be Ricky Martin, Martin Heat and Air; and the immediate past chair is Ed Horton, Anderson Brothers Bank.
New board members joining the board serving their first three year terms are Ben Clyburn, Condo-World; Jenna Duke, Cherry Grove Drug; Dargan Ervin, Tidelands Health; Jim Powalie, Burroughs and Chapin; Ed W. Prince III, Cherry Grove Pier; and Eric Rivenbark, Coastal Carolina University. Joining the board serving his second term is Scott Ellis, REMAX Southern Shores.
