Susan Diane Sarvis, 63, of Florence passed away on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019 at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.
Born on Oct. 5, 1955, in Loris, she was the daughter of Ila Mae Ward Sarvis and the late Shelton “Bill” Sarvis. Mrs. Sarvis was a member of Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Green Sea. Along with her father, she was predeceased by a sister, Eunice Marie Sarvis, her father-in-law, Bowden Sarvis, and her mother-in-law, Ada Sarvis.
Along with her mother of Green Sea, she is survived by her husband, Alonzo Dale Sarvis of Florence; three daughters, Miranda Sarvis Carteret (Terry) of Charlotte, N.C., Lindsey Dale Sarvis (Octavia Saunders) of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Jennifer Sarvis Jordan (Charlie) of Loris, five grandchildren, Earon Jordan, Katlyn Jordan, C.J. Jordan, Logan Carteret and Conner Carteret; one great-grandchild, Winston Skipper; two brothers, Phil Sarvis (Joyce) of Whiteville, NC and Danny Ray Sarvis of Green Sea; one sister, Melanie Sarvis Strickland of Green Sea; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Loris Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmy Floyd and the Rev. Dean Cartrette officiating. Burial followed at Riverside Cemetery.
The family received friends prior to the service from 2 p.m. toc 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
