A Ray of Sunshine

If you drive down 11th Avenue North in North Myrtle Beach late in the afternoon as the sun begins to set, look to the Yaupon Garden Club School yard garden fronting the Ocean Drive Elementary School.  The members recently followed the suggestion of the South Atlantic Region, Garden Clubs of America, to extablish a “Plant it Pink”.

 This garden is the hope that the residents and tourists  will be reminded of the ongoing fight against  breast cancer in our families and communities.  As the picture was snapped a  ray of sunshine reminds us to  think positively and never give up hope.
