Rita ‘Gail’ Lowder Sarvis

Rita “Gail” Lowder Sarvis, 61, of Loris passed away on Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte, N.C. Ms. Sarvis was born on Aug. 13, 1958, in Loris to the late Johnnie Rogers Lowder and the late Cecil Todd Lowder Buffkin. She was the owner and operator of a country store and was a Baptist.

Survivors include her boyfriend, Steven Sellers of Charlotte; her son, Chad Rogers Sarvis and his wife Hope of Loris; her daughter, Jillian “Jill” Hardee and her boyfriend Shane Mincey of Charlotte; her brother, Ricky Lowder and his wife Carla of Loris; her brother, Marc Buffkin and his wife Natalie of Loris; and her grandchildren, Savannah Sarvis, Gannon Sarvis, Erica Hardee and Joe Don Hardee. 

In addition to her parents, Ms. Sarvis was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Milligan Sarvis. 

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 4 p.m. at Pleasant Meadow Cemetery with the Rev. Randall Jones officiating. The family received friends immediately following the graveside service at Pleasant Meadow Cemetery.
