Jon Ellis Tregarthen, 76, of Little River died on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach.
Born on Sept. 13, 1943, in San Pedro, Calif., he was the son of the late Harry and Gladys Brown Tregarthen.
He was a loving husband and father as well as a faithful and active member of Grace Christian Fellowship. He loved his church and church family. Being “Mr. Fix-it” was a favorite pastime.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Theresia “Terri” Calhoun Tregarthen; one daughter, Elizabeth Storey (Keith); four sisters, Joan Huston (Kim), Janice Harington (Bill), Lynda Strom (Ernie) and Andi McGrew (Dick); one grandchild, Callum; four step-children, Roland Brunette, Christien Burnette, Michael Cobb and Toni Atkins; and his canine companion Yorkie, Daniel.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12 at Grace Christian Fellowship at 1223 Hwy. 57 N. in Little River.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Christian Fellowship, Building Fund, P.O. Box 948, Little River, S.C. 29566.
