Douglas ‘Michael’ Duncan, 68, of Tabor City, N.C., passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, at his home. Mr. Duncan was born on Oct. 5, 1951, in Loris. He was a brakeman for CSX Railroad in Florence and worked as a sales representative for Home Security Life Insurance Company in Conway for many years. In his free time he thoroughly enjoyed tennis, football and basketball. He was a proud member of the Loris Lions Club and a longtime member of Loris First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sister, Susan D. Gerald and her husband, Eldred of Little River, and his nephew, Chris E. Gerald and his wife, Nicole of Little River, and a step-great-nephew, Felix Pitts of Little River.
Mr. Duncan was predeceased by his parents, Oliver Lee Duncan and Clara Mae Boyd Duncan.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, 2019, at Antioch Cemetery in Loris with the Rev. Mack Hutson officiating.
