Peter J. Quattrocchi, 88, of North Myrtle Beach, formerly of Burlington, MA, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019. He was the loving husband of 66 years of Elaine C. (Mailhiot); caring father of Robert and his wife Debra of St. Petersburg, Fla.; William and his long time girlfriend Micki Welsh of Annandale, Va.; Susan Devlin and her husband George of Wilmington, MA; Lawrence and his wife Beverly of Stephens City, VA; James and his husband Javier of Waco, Texas; Sandra Harris and her husband Ross of San Diego, Calif; Kenneth and his wife Cheri of Stafford, VA; Daniel and his wife Janice of Billerica, MA; proud grandfather of Christina, Courtney, Carrie, Nicole, Michael, Jacqueline, Nicolas, Jamie, Matthew, Benjamin and Samuel; and of seven great-grandchildren; beloved brother of Stephen of Stoneham, MA, Thomas of Londonderry, NH, and predeceased by Vincent of Billerica, MA. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and before retiring to South Carolina, worked for UPS, and Hermann Forwarding and St. Johnsbury Trucking. He was a long-time president of Burlington Little League.He also enjoyed playing cards, bowling and golf and was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, BPOE Elks and volunteer for Mobile Meals. He was named North Myrtle Beach Citizen of the Year in 2007.
Services were held at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 10 a.m. Burial was private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Peter’s name may be made to Mobile Meals of the North Strand.
