Boys, girls track teams finish a close second in Allen Connie Relays

The North Myrtle Beach High School boys and girls track teams competed against five other local high schools last Saturday in the Allen Connie Relays and both teams finished second to strong Carolina Forest teams.

In the boys track and field events Carolina Forest finished with 138 points for first place. North Myrtle Beach was second with 96 points. St. James took third place with 74 points while Myrtle Beach had 44 points for fourth place. Green Sea Floyds had 34 points and Conway came away with 20 points.

Five girls teams competed with Carolina Forest winning with 106 points. North Myrtle Beach was a close second with 100 points. St. James had 90 points for third place. Green Sea Floyds finished fourth with 72 points and Conway took fifth with 32 points.

The meet was named in honor of former Chiefs track coach and North Myrtle Beach High School sports Hall of Fame inductee Allen Connie.
