The parade of the Lion Pride is sponsoring the Loris Elementary School Lion Pride as the teachers and staff caravan through Loris and keeping acceptable social distancing. There is no way the caravan can drive past each home or drive every street of the city. A route has been designed for residents of Loris to cheer, wave, blow kisses from your car or porch with family only.  The Lion Pride said, “We couldn’t stand to be away from you any longer and wanted to see that everyone was happy and healthy.” On Friday, May 15, from 9 to 10 a.m. step on your porch and watch the vehicles pass.

The route begins at Loris Elementary School and turns left on Perin Road, left on Fox Bay Road, right onto Highway 701 North, left on Ralph Ellis Boulevard, left onto Cannon Road, right on Church Street, left on Spring Street, right on Main Street, right onto Harrelson Avenue, left on Cox Road, left on North. Cox Road, right onto Main Street and an immediate left into Creekwood Apartments and around the loop, right onto Main Street, right onto Bayboro Street, left on Casey Street, right onto Railroad Avenue, left on McQueen Street, right on Bryant Street, left on Devine Street, right onto Milligan Street, right onto Forest Drive, left on Ann Street, right on Main Street and drive past the elementary school to the Loris Recreation Field driving straight through. Cars can park on both sides making a pathway for all to travel through. No one can be outside their vehicles. The parade is planned to take one hour.

Cruise Through Loris; The Loris Chamber of Commerce, The City of Loris and Kaitlyn Courtney, Loris Bog-Off Festival Teen, are excited to announce Friday and Saturday events in downtown Loris. On Friday, May 15, from 8 to 11 p.m. Loris High School seniors can drive a loop through town. DJ Kyle Gore will spin some music as the cars drive through. Remember to adhere to the driving laws and the City of Loris’ noise ordinance. Everyone is advised they will not be allowed to leave their vehicles during the Cruise Through Town. Dress up your vehicle and prepare to wave to one another as you pass through town.

On Saturday, May 16, they are sponsoring the Green Sea Floyds High School seniors with the same DJ and the same rules apply.
