Jon-Paul Hoffman, 46, of Little River passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020, as a result of an auto accident.
He was born on Dec. 5, 1973, in Washington, Ga, the son of Richard and Carol Guin Hoffman. Mr. Hoffman was a graduate of North Myrtle Beach High School Class of 1991. He is survived by his children, Gage Hoffman, Samantha Hoffman and Jon Ashton Hoffman, and his step-son, Tyler Long. He leaves behind his sister, Jennifer Hoffman Denard, along with her spouse Glenn and their two daughters, Heather and Adrienne.
Mr. Hoffman resided in Little River most of his life. He was an avid fisherman and outdoor enthusiast. He was a self-employed commercial fisherman and landscaper. He had recently returned to his home following a stay in Big Pine Key, Fla. He made many friends over his lifetime and enjoyed meeting people and was always willing to go the extra mile for others. It is important to note that he also received an abundance of love and support from various friends and family members.
In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Hoffman was cremated and his ashes will be dispensed in the Atlantic Ocean at a later date. The funeral services were held at Lee Funeral Home in Little River on Monday, June 8, at 2 p.m. A visitation at 1 p.m. preceded the service.
Memorials may be made to The Star of the Sea Outreach Mission at www.sosmission.org located throughout the Florida Keys. Mr. Hoffman was both a recipient of the mission project and a volunteer.
