Katherine Martin Causey

Mrs. Katherine Martin Causey, 84, passed away on Friday, Sept. 25, 2020. Mrs. Causey was born on Oct. 9, 1935, in Loris, to the late Marvin Douglas “M.D.” Martin and the late Gracie Mae Rae Martin. Mrs. Causey retired from Loris Manufacturing as a Supervisor. She also worked at the Alabama Theater and Sea Haven Home for Boys. Mrs. Causey was a life long member of Community Baptist Church. 

Survivors include her son, Terry Causey of Loris; daughter, Cathy Brown and husband, Bob of Shallotte, N.C.; four grandchildren, Brea Faircloth and husband, Cane, Kayanna Hill and husband, Avery, Trevor Causey, and Brianna Causey; three great-grandchildren, Bella Grace Faircloth, Abilene Hill, and Barrett Hill; brother, Larry Martin and wife, Glenda of Loris; sister, Peggy Ard and husband, David of Florence; and sister-in-law, Robin Martin of Spartanburg.

Mrs. Causey was predeceased by her husband, Otis Wayne Causey; two brothers, Earl Martin and Carlysle Martin; and sister, Judy Duncan. 

Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, at Community Baptist Church with Reverend Adam Martin and Pastor Michael Lee officiating.
