Alabama Theatre set to unveil new ICONIC show

By RUBEN LOWMAN

What better way to celebrate 30 years entertaining audiences than to unveil an entirely brand new show.

The Alabama Theatre of North Myrtle Beach has proudly titled their new production ICONIC, and the new name says it all.

This multi-million dollar investment will enhance the audience’s experience and continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in live entertainment.

ICONIC is a cutting-edge, brand new production show on stage and in the air. Along with visual elements and a state-of-the-art video wall it is unlike anything you may have seen along the Grand Strand.

It features memorable music, comedy, country music chartbusters, classic rock anthems, Broadway and pop power ballads.

ICONIC even celebrates being at the beach. In addition to a stunning array of new costumes there is a newly designed set where the audience can connect with the featured musicians and entertainers.

The president of The Alabama Theatre, Bob Wood, said “We are committed to offering new, exclusive and innovative experiences for all generations. We are positive ICONIC can deliver this. Aside from the variety of entertainment, we will feature a new segment to acknowledge the remarkable contributions of our theatre’s namesake, the country supergroup Alabama, with a collection of their biggest and most iconic hits along with the story of the band through visual effects and narrative.”

ICONIC will be a one-of-a-kind journey through past and present iconic music. This will be the highlight for anyone on vacation or living locally along the Grand Strand.

“We are positive ICONIC will be an outstanding entertainment experience for all our guests and will give them a truly unique connection with our talented entertainers,” said Charlie Bradshaw, Alabama Theatre’s vice president of sales and marketing.

This highly anticipated, family-friendly production will debut on Thursday, Feb. 23, and run until the end of October when The Alabama Theatre’s featured holiday production, The South’s Grandest Christmas Show, returns six nights a week during November and December with select matinees.

Sprinkled throughout 2023 is the Guest Artist Concert Series showcasing top touring acts from across the country such as Josh Turner, Comedian Leanne Morgan, Jo Dee Messina, The Oak Ridge Boys, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Firefall, Little River Band, The 5th Dimension and many more.
