Annie Ruth Sapp, 71, of Panama City, Fla., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018. She passed away peacefully at home after an illness. Ms. Sapp was born on August 13, 1947 in Horry County, to the late Tommie R. Ward and the late Clara Hawks Ward Guyton.
Survivors include her three sisters, Doris Marilyn Ward Hayes of Louisiana, Janice Ward Anderson of Panama City, and Sarah Ward Smith and husband Paul of Little River, along with lots of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Sapp was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Sapp; four brothers, James Norwood Ward, Tommie LeRoy Ward, Billy Don Ward and Danny W. Ward; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Dew Ward and Ruby Duncan Ward; nephew, John Terrence Martin and niece, Ruby Jane Ward, RN.
Annie Ruth will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at Pleasant Plain Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 12, 2019 with Rev. Mack Hutson officiating.
