Poseidon, a six-month old English Bulldog with a fun and spunky personality, was the winner of the Best Irish Dressed Dog contest last Saturday at the North Myrtle Beach Times office. Everyone is invited to join the North Myrtle Beach Historic Preservation Society at their Potluck Picnic for Ingram Dunes. The preservation of Ingram Dunes is the first project of the NMBHPS. They believe in the mission to save this historic site. The purpose for holding this picnic is to gather like minded citizens in support of saving Ingram Dunes. During the March 18 City Council meeting, Mayor Marilyn Hatley presented to Sea Haven for Youth Senior Community Services Coordinator Wendy Gore a proclamation declaring the week of March 17-March 23 as National Safe Place Week. This marks the 36th anniversary of the nationwide Safe Place collaborative community initiative. Frank Ceruzzi, 96, of North Myrtle Beach died on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at home with his family at his side. Born on Jan. 20, 1923, in Port Chester, N.Y., he was the son of the late Mario and Nicolina Spira Ceruzzi. He is best known in the Myrtle Beach community as the first CEO of Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He managed the transition from Ocean View Hospital in 1976 and served as CEO until 1987.
