Brenda Joyce Wade Long, 69, of Loris passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at her home following an illness. Ms. Long was born on Oct. 29, 1949, in Loris to the late Willie “Bill” James Wade and the late Rosa Evelyn McCormick Wade. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Survivors include her two daughters, Stephanie Wade Martin and Tracy Wade Gause and her husband Chris, all of Loris; two grandchildren, Kayla Martin of Missouri and Justin Martin of Conway; one brother, Roger Wade and his wife Lynn of Longs; and her many beloved pets she considered her extended …

Aberdeen Country Club is set to reopen on Saturday

Aberdeen Country Club, a Founders Group International course, will reopen for public play on Saturday, February 23. The 27-hole facility, which closed in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence to rebuild its clubhouse, is in immaculate condition with the Grand Strand’s peak spring season on the immediate horizon.
