Representatives from 24 schools got to play Santa to some of their students by selecting from organized shelves of toys provided through the Yachts for Tots program sponsored by the Christmas Regatta committee. Thomas Mitchell Tyler, 77, of Loris passed away on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018, at Grand Strand Rehab & Nursing Center following an illness. He was born on July 1, 1941, in Loris to the late Clifton W. Tyler and the late Fannie Bell Tyler. Mr. Tyler was a telephone office technician. Survivors include his wife, Melva Dean Tyler; biological daughter, Kim Mills of North Myrtle Beach, and two sisters, Nancy Blanton of Nichols, and Phylis Holmes of Myrtle Beach. Richard James Hibbard, 33, of Little River passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018. Rich was born on July 2, 1985, in Elizabeth, Pa., to James Hibbard and Bernice Hibbard. Patricia Sarah Housman Gray, 89, of Loris passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, at McLeod Loris Hospital in Loris following an illness. She was born on Dec. 9, 1928, in Westwood, N.J., to the late Mortimer J. Housman and the late Hazel Collignon Housman. Ok was a loving homemaker and of the Lutheran faith.
