Chiefs end football season on road in second round

The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs varsity football season ended this past Thursday night on the road in the second round of the state 4-A playoffs to Myrtle Beach by a final score of 35-27. The Chiefs (6-5) led through most of the second, third and fourth quarters, but a late surge by the Seahawks put them ahead by one late, and then finished the Chiefs in the closing minutes. Chiefs varsity football falls on the road to No. 9 Hartsville

The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs varsity football program fell on the road this past Friday night to region foe Hartsville by a final score of 24-8. The Chiefs saw senior quarterback Ramsey Lewis return to his starting role after an early season injury, but weren’t able to capitalize on the opportunity, picking up just 133 total yards on offense. The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs varsity football team fell on the road this past Friday night at region foe Darlington 10-9, losing their second straight game. The No. 7 ranked Chiefs (5-2, 0-2) went into the contest heavily favored over the Falcons (1-7, 1-1), who hadn’t won a game in over 700 days, two seasons. The North Myrtle Beach varsity Chiefs football team scored in every quarter this past Friday night to rout the St. James Sharks 29-7. The No. 3 state 4A ranked Chiefs (3-0) held the Sharks (2-1) to just a third quarter touchdown inside the Hank Hester Sports Complex on the campus of North Myrtle Beach High School. Chiefs open football season with win over powerhouse Tigers The North Myrtle Beach High School varsity football team opened the 2019 regular season in spectacular fashion last Friday night, defeating the Conway Tigers for the second year in a row. Entering the game with a No. 6 state ranking in 4A, the Chiefs put up 24 points to the 5A Tigers’ 7 points. The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs varsity football program advanced to the 2nd round of the South Carolina state playoffs this past Friday night with a 34-22 win over the Wilson Tigers. Playing through a heavy fog at South Aiken High School, the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs defeated the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (5-6) in the first round of the class 4A state football playoffs this past Friday night. In the pouring rain, the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs (6-3) varsity football team defeated the Marlboro County Bulldogs (6-3) to earn the No. 3 playoff seed out of Region 6-4A.
