Barbara June Hilburn

Barbara June Hilburn of Loris passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at her residence.

Born on June 4, 1947, in Tabor City, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Bryant Jasper and Elneta Fowler Williams. Mrs. Hilburn was predeceased by one sister, Patsy Martin. She was a member of Cane Branch Baptist Church and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Mrs. Hilburn is survived by her husband, James Vern “J.V.” Hilburn of Loris; one son, James Darryl Hilburn (Jacqueline) of Loris; one daughter, Dana Hilburn Tyree (Chris) of Orrstown, Pa.; four grandchildren, Cory Hilburn (Meagan) of Mullins, Lesley Hilburn of Loris and Shawn Tyree and Brayden Tyree, both of Orrstown, Pa.; two sisters, Sarah Jane Hardee of Loris and Linda Cartrette of Clarendon, N.C., and one special cousin, Joann Joyner (Bill) of Surfside Beach.

Visitation was private.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m. at Cane Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jon Johnson and the Rev. Alvin Jackson officiating.
