Brenda Joyce Wade Long, 69, of Loris passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at her home following an illness. Ms. Long was born on Oct. 29, 1949, in Loris to the late Willie “Bill” James Wade and the late Rosa Evelyn McCormick Wade. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Survivors include her two daughters, Stephanie Wade Martin and Tracy Wade Gause and her husband Chris, all of Loris; two grandchildren, Kayla Martin of Missouri and Justin Martin of Conway; one brother, Roger Wade and his wife Lynn of Longs; and her many beloved pets she considered her extended family.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Long was predeceased by her two brothers, Willie James Wade Jr. and Windell Wade and her sister, Pearl Barnhill.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ms. Lavada Harris for her love and compassionate care over the past twenty-four years.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, Feb. 19, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Hardwick Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Hardwick Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mack Hutson and Elder George Paul officiating. Committal services followed at the Hardee Cemetery.
