Cadet Johnson receives medal

North Myrtle Beach Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10804 Commander elect Kevin Rorer pins the VFW Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps  VFW-JROTC Medal of Achievement on  Cadet Private First Class JaLynn B. Johnson of Loris High School for her outstanding achievements and exceptional leadership ability.

Cadet Johnson was nominated by Lt. Col, U.S. Army Retired James McLean, the Senior Army instructor at Loris High School. Cadet Johnson is in the ninth grade.

In his nominating letter to Post 10804. Lt. Col McLean went on to say that he is impressed with Cadet Johnson’s positive attitude and enthusiastic willingness to take on new challenges.  Her demeanor and military bearing, in and out of uniform, exude a level of confidence well beyond her youth. She epitomizes the Seven Army Values and always sets an example for peers and subordinates alike.
