Ceremony inducts 104 students into honor society

The North Myrtle Beach National Honor Society inducted 104 students into the National Honor Society and recognized 66 seniors last Wednesday night. Earning membership in the National Honor Society is the highest academic honor a student can receive. Students must be rising juniors or seniors and are invited into the society based on their competitive grade point average, academic intergrity and approval by the faculty council.

Sixty-six seniors were recognized for their continued exceptional grades, community service hours and participation in the service-based activities in which the National Honor Society sponors. The seniors received a white stole with the National Honor Society symbol embroidered to wear at graduation. The ceremony was well arranged by the advisors, Beth Brown and Colette Spencer, and was student led with speakers including 2018-19 officers and faculty advisors.

The National Honor Society looks forward to a great next year with the new members and wishes the best of luck to the graduating seniors.
