Every year Main Street in North Myrtle Beach is host to the annual Christmas Parade. This year’s parade was held on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 5:30 p.m.
With a total of 112 entries, the parade brought delight and holiday cheer to all who attended. Main Street was filled with people watching the parade and catching lots of holiday candy. As the parade turned left onto Ocean Boulevard the judges scored each entry based on creativity and holiday spirit.
This year’s judges were Wanda Bellamy, retired director of the Little River Welcome Center; Teressa Dew, a second-generation owner of Dew’s; and Patti Hilton, owner of Barefoot Bistro and the Wild Wing Café in Barefoot Landing.
Although they had a difficult decision to make with so many wonderful entries, the winners are as follows:
Best Decorated Entry – First Place, Seaside Furniture Gallery & Accents -”The Frozen Globe; Second Place, Nick Chambliss and Paula Brown – The Grinch Sleigh “Here Comes The Grinch”; Third Place, “The Red Jeep” – Towed by DeFalco’s.
Honorable Mention went to the North Myrtle Beach High School Marching Band directed by Peter DiLeo and Dan Vigo.
Have a Merry Christmas season.
