Friends of the North Myrtle Beach Library will host author and columnist Celia Rivenbark at 10 a.m. on Oct. 3. The Coffee With Friends will be held at the meeting room in the library and is open to the public.
Rivenbark will speak about her newest book, Rude Bitches Make Me Tired. Her first job after college was writing for the Wallace Enterprise, but she moved on to the Wilmington Morning Sun and a humor column for the Sun News. Several of her books have been nominated for the James Thurber Prize for humor. One book spent time on the New York Times Best Seller list.
Like most of her other books, her new book is a series of essays. This book is about “etiquette”. Her subject matter is less like that of Emily post, but she answers questions appropriate for today’s world. She is decribed as comical, rebellious, slightly profane, but entirely logical.
Come prepared to laugh aloud and enjoy meeting this epitome of southern charm and humor.
The Coffee with Friends is sponsored by the Friends of the North Myrtle Beach Library. If you have any questions contact Sue Lotts at 843-390-2395
