Date set for Purses with Purpose charity benefit

GFWC North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club will once again host an evening to benefit local charities on Thursday, April 4, at 6 p.m. at the Marina Inn Grande Dunes.

The club is happy to announce that Martin Heat and Air is returning as this year’s title sponsor. Martin Heat and Air services and installs heating and air conditioning systems throughout Horry County.

Event chairperson Jeri McCumbee tells us, “This is our seventh year and time flies when you’re doing Purses! This is real girl power working in conjunction with community support. It’s a very entertaining evening with handsome male models showcasing gorgeous designer handbags contributed by celebrities and women in our community. Some of the organizations we donate to also contribute purses. We are thrilled to have Martin Heat and Air back as our 2019 Title Sponsor. We also have Elliott Realty, Touch Med Spa, CENTURY 21 Thomas, Sandhills Bank and Coastal Carolina National Bank as top sponsors.

This event allows our club to contribute to other charities such as the North Strand Housing Shelter, Helping Hands, Girl Scouts, the Center for Women, Sea Haven and Teen Angels, to name a few. We also gave four $1,000 scholarships to North Myrtle Beach High School students last year.

Everyone is invited to come out, have some fun and help us raise some monies for our community. And we still have lower level sponsorships available. And it’s not too late to get on the sponsorship bandwagon!”

For a complete list of charities supported by this event, visit the contributions page at www.northmyrtlebeachwomansclub.com.

Tickets are $60 each and can be purchased securely online with a credit card at purseswithpurpose2019.eventbrite.com. Please purchase early as sponsorship tickets limit the number of tickets available to the public.

If you or your company would like more information about sponsorships, call Dolly McDermott at 301-466-9632.

If you’d like to contribute a handbag or donate an auction item, call Jeri McCumbee at 843-450-4001 or email her at accessmed193@aol.com.
