Ed Vaitas was a man that is well known and loved in the North Myrtle Beach community and surrounding areas for his many charitable services.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines in 1957 through 1967 then he became a Veservist.
In 1971 he and his wife Joan relocated to North Myrtle Beach. They continued their services at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church by initiating the Lenten Fish fry.

Ed was always on the go even to the point of placing flyers on vehicles inviting people of the community to the fish fry and spaghetti dinners.
He also served in local blood drives and Columbus HOPE. He held a deep passion for the special needs children.
His volunteer services would always exceed the council’s annual goal during donation drives.
Ed served vigorously for over 60 years from his heart.

Ed left a legacy of faith, love and hope and being led by the greatest of these, he loved as our Lord loves.
