Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Ivey Tyson Manos

Elizabeth “Beth” Ivey Tyson Manos, 55, of Longs passed away on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019.  Born in Greenville, N.C., she was a daughter of James E. “T-Bird” Tyson and Jim Churchwell and the late Sylvia Johnson Churchwell. 

Beth was the wife of 20 years to Dan Manos. She had a love of the ocean and the sun.  Beth had a tender heart for animals and loved her dogs.  She was always seen dressed to the nines and a smile on her face.  Beth was a wonderful cook and her rum cakes were true to their description and everyone loved them.  Most importantly, she was loved by all and she  was loved deeply.  

Surviving are her husband Dan; father, Jim Tyson; step-father, Jim Churchwell; sisters, Jamie (Tim) Childress; Renee (David) Green;  niece, Jessica Voytik; and nephew, Alex Voytik.  She is also survived by her four-legged canine companion, Zeke.

A memorial service was  held on Wednesday, Aug. 7,  at 4 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home.  The family received friends immediately following the service.  Burial was at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, in Lemon Springs UMC Cemetery, 7225 Lemon Springs Road., Sanford, N.C. 27332.
