Frederick Readen Jr., 87, of Little River passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at River Park Senior Living.
Born on Aug. 30, 1931, in Charleston, he was the son of the late Frederick and Christine Claussen Sr.
Mr. Readen graduated from The Citadel in 1959 and served his country proudly in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, June Burgess Readen; two sons, Alton Readen (Alyson) and Paul Readen (Gina); one brother, Bobby Readen; one sister, Fredericka Wilson; and six grandchildren, Alex, Anna, Kevin, Will, Nicholas and Elise.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 19, in Lee Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens in Little River.
