Free family-friendly event ends with party

The North Myrtle Beach Parks and Recreation Department announces its next Pedal in the Park with a Luau theme. Bring your bicycles out to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex on Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. for a leisurely three-mile starlit bike ride. The ride starts at 7:30 p.m. and will begin and end at the amphitheater.

This event will premiere our new Junior Course (1 mile). This is not a race so you can bike at your own pace. This is a free event that will be sure to get the whole family moving.

Please bring your own bicycles. We encourage you to wear a helmet and your most festive Luau attire for a safe tropical ride. Be sure to stick around after the ride for our dance party with Luau themed activities for a “tropical” good time. The Parks and Recreation Department will provide complimentary water and lemonade after the ride with other light refreshments available for purchase.

For questions call (843) 280-5584, e-mail recreation@ nmb.us or join the Facebook event page Pedal in the Park:Luau.
