George likes to see growth of child

By Meg Williams: Vicky George is from Green Sea and has been with Horry County Schools for 12 years. The past three she has been the kindergarten assistant to Brianna Webb. Vicky graduated from Green Sea Floyds High School and from Horry Georgetown Techinical College earning an Associates of Arts degree.

She is married to Keith George who is employed at PTR Industries as a CNC operator in Aynor, SC.

She has two children, a daughter, Amaris McDowell who graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. Her son, Houston McDowell  is in the U.S. Army in the Tanker Division.

George says the most rewarding part of her job is “to see the growth of each child and to help make a difference in their lives.” She enjoys the childrens’ great sense of humor. It always puts a smile on her face. Every day brings new laughter.

Vicky is quick to tell you the most influential person in her life. Her mother was an amazing mom who provided a continuous source of positive energy. She inspired Vicky to always find the good in every situation.

Vicky loves family time and reading and her favorite author is Nicholas Sparks.

George’s favorite quote is “…greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4
