The North Myrtle Beach High School girls varsity volleyball team had another successful week, beating Wilson and Darlington to finish the 6AAAA region with a 10-0 record and an overall record of 29-10. The Lady Chiefs beat the Wilson Tigers on Tuesday 3-0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-9) at North Myrtle Beach in their final regular season home match.
Last Thursday the Chiefs finished up the regular season by travelling to Darlington and again won by a 3-0 score (25-8, 25-8, 25-11). The Lady Chiefs ruled the region all season, and by winning the region they earned a first-round bye in post-season play.
North Myrtle Beach, with nine seniors on the team, won the state championship last year and have had the goal of winning again. They will begin that journey next Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6 p.m. at the Chiefs gym.
