Ground Broke For New Haven At Little River

Atlanta-based real estate development company, Compass Living, together with the Little River Chamber of Commerce, Bourne Financial Group and SRI Management LLC, a highly personal, results-oriented management company with 25 communities throughout the Southeast, broke ground on Aug. 8 for an innovative senior living community, New Haven at Little River,  located at 2585 South Carolina Highway 179, abutting the North Carolina state line. With an anticipated grand opening in late 2020, New Haven will encompass 152 units, offering independent and assisted living, as well as memory care apartments, in an amenity-rich, resort style environment, meeting a measurable market demand for senior living options in the area.

“New Haven at Little River represents the fourth senior living community and the first in the Grand Strand for Compass Living,” said Bob Godard, chief executive officer, of Compass Living. “The accessibility of this site to the entire region, coupled with the offering of a substantially larger, more upscale living option than competitive area communities provide, make New Haven ideal for residents in the region seeking resort-style living.”

New Haven at Little River will offer multiple dining venues and private bars, art studios, a movie theater, card rooms, a library and numerous other gathering and entertainment areas. The community will also feature a swimming pool, a professionally-managed salon and exercise and physical therapy facilities. In addition to industry-leading food service and chef-driven meals developed in conjunction with health and wellness teams, the community will include concierge services for residents. The 152,000 square foot development is designed by architect Corcoran/Ota Group and Interior Designer Banko Design, and Denagelis Diamond is leading the construction team.

Once opened, New Haven at Little River will add approximately 100 jobs to the area, infusing more than two million dollars in annual salary and wages into Little River.
