Howard “Howie” Stewart Lockey Jr., 43, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born on June 23, 1975, to Howard and Betty Lockey. He was a graduate of North Myrtle Beach High School and worked with Home Grown Hospitality Group for many years.
He loved spending time with his family and friends, being with his fiancé Erin and the kids. Howie loved singing, playing drums and playing trivia music with his Dad. He loved to fish and go camping.
He is survived by his father, Howard Lockey, sisters, Sheila (Cliff) Nolan; Mindy (Mitchell) Livingston; Sandra (Don) Kelly; Jeannie (Steven) Folks; Faye (Allen) Cox; Gail (Glenn) Thompson; and Paulette (Charles) Arnette; and his fiancé, the love of his life, Erin Parker; and children Kenny, Ashland and Austin. He was blessed to have many wonderful and loving nieces and nephews. He loved his Homegrown Hospitality Family. He really cherished his fur babies, Miller and Porter.
Howie is rejoined with his mom, Betty, his Nanny and his Grandma. He is celebrating life forever with his sister, Cathy, and nephews, Steve, Christopher and Nick, as well as other family and friends.
The family would like to thank Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach, the CJD Foundation and all the wonderful doctors and nurses.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to his family church, Foundations Church, 3727 Sea Mountain Highway, Little River, S.C. 29566.
The service was held at Foundations Church at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2019. The family visited with all immediately following the service. His brother-in-law, the Reverend Mitchell Livingston, officiated the service.
