Hyatt receives Chief Leadership Award

Story By: Alissa Miller – Principal Teresa Todd presents Andrea Hyatt as the recipient of the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs Leadership Award sponsored by Dew’s.

Andrea is a sophomore at North Myrtle Beach High School. She is a hardworking student who is enrolled in multiple honors classes. Andrea is commended by her teachers for always putting forth her best efforts toward her academics. She is always taking the initiative to help her classmates and never expects any sort of recognition. Andrea is a part of the Beta Club, a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and participates in community service.

Outside the classroom, Andrea plays basketball and soccer. Last year she suffered from a knee injury which put her out for both the basketball and soccer season and most of her summer training. Despite not being able to play throughout either season, Andrea’s commitment to her teams did not waver. She attended all workouts, practices and games. Andrea is a silent leader among her teammates. Her coaches said she is always willing to help others on the field and in the weight room. 

Andrea has been presented with the award from Dew’s. She is a true student leader.
