Former North Myrtle Beach Planning Commission Member, Major Katherine Jenerette, and her husband, Major Van Jenerette, U.S. Army (Ret.), participated in the 35th Annual Army Ten-Miler held at the Nation’s Capitol this past weekend.
Over 35,000 runners from around the world competed in the event that looped along the Potomac River and around many of the most historical attractions in Washington, D.C.
Katherine, a veteran of the Afghanistan War, is a recipient of the Purple Heart and an Army Paratrooper serving on active duty. She is presently an instructor at the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School at Ft. Bragg, N.C.
