Jerry Randall King, 80, of Little River died on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, at his home in Little River.
Born on Feb. 2, 1940, in Asheville, N.C., he was the son of the late George Robert and Margaret Lucille Camby King. He attended Owen and Reynolds High Schools in Asheville and graduated in 1958. He married Mary Milner on Feb. 14, 1960.
He retired in 2003 from the state of North Carolina after a 40-year career in personnel and city management. He was an active member of the Asheville and Little River Elks Lodges.
Mr. King is survived by two sons, Ryan King of Atlanta, Ga., and Barry King of Huntsville, Ala.; grandsons, Tyler King of Auburn, Ala., Ethan King of Huntsville, Ala., and Caleb King of Sarasota, Fla.; and sister, Sandra King Moser of Little River.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Milner King, who passed away in 2014.
A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Little River Elks Lodge #2840, located at 230 Hwy. 57 S. in Little River.
