Lanett Kinard-Hovde

Vista Lanett Kinard-Hovde, 56, of Conway  passed away on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2020, at her home following a sudden illness. Mrs. Kinard-Hovde was born on Sept. 26, 1964, in Charleston to Vista Wyvonia Mishoe Kinard and the late Edward Charles Kinard Sr. She worked in retail sales with Food Lion until her retirement and was a longtime member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church where she played the piano for many years. Lanette will be most remembered as a kind and loving wife and daughter who had a special place in her heart for her dogs and cats that she loved dearly.

Survivors, including her mother of Loris, are her husband, Scott Hovde of the home; mother-in-law, Kate James of Conway,; step-sons, Tyler Hovde, Travis Hovde and Trevor Hovde; step-daughter, Kelly Cornelius; nephew, Edward “Charlie” Kinard III; niece, Jessica Brooke Kinard; and great-nephew, Ronnie Kinard.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Edward Charles Kinard Jr.

Funeral services were  held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, at Cherry Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook officiating. The family received friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service on Friday at Cherry Hill Baptist Church. Committal services followed at Cherry Hill Cemetery.
