Lawrence Dwane Hammond, 62, of Loris died on Sunday, July 12, 2020, in Loris. Born on Aug. 23, 1957, in Columbus County, N.C., he was the son of Lawrence Gail Hammond and Alice Marie Williamson Hammond.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Fowler Hammond of Loris; one son, Gage Fowler Hammond of Loris; one brother, Ed Hammond of Chadbourn; his parents, Lawrence Gail Hammond and Alice Marie Williamson Hammond of Chadbourn; father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Willa Ree Fowler of Tabor City, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law: David and Penny Holmes of Loris; nephew, Jeremy Holmes and wife Meredith of Loris; andgreat nephew and his fishing buddy, Eli Holmes of Loris.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rosada and Nubert Williamson; paternal grandparents, Alexander Hammond and Blanche Hammond; and mother-in-law, Bonnette Fowler.
Funeral services wereheld on Wednesday, July 15, at 11 a.m. in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment followed in the Twin City Mausoleum in Loris.
